AT Day 106: Zero Day in Great Barrington MA

I think I nodded off just after 7:30pm last night. Slept soundly but awoken by noisy birds about 6am this morning. After a relaxing morning, I had a great breakfast of poached eggs over hashbrowns at KB Eats. I picked up my resupply box and new Brooks Cascadia shoes. After a visit to the local co-op grocery store and a nice nap, I decided to take a double zero here. in celebration of 500 miles on this second-half and over 1,500 miles total on the AT. My various joints and muscles will appreciate the extra rest.

No outfitter in Great Barrington but found a too large isobutane canister and permethrin spray at Carr Hardware Store. I passed by a movie theater and then started craving heavily salted and buttered popcorn but the theater was unfortunately closed for a few days.

I am now officially in the Berkshires. A range of hills/highlands in Massachusetts that lie between the Housatonic and Connecticut Rivers.
