AT Day 119: Kent Pond to On The Edge Farm
Daily Miles: 22.5, Total Miles: 1,734.0
I got an early start from the Greenbrier Inn this morning. Got back on the trail, walked past Kent Pond and then down to Thundering Falls.

The rest of the day was a rollercoaster, up and down, on mostly overgrown trail, including bushes, trees and tall grass. Checking for ticks on a more frequent basis, also been seeing a lot more frogs recently.

Had a late lunch at the Lookout Cabin, complete with a tall ladder to a viewing platform on top with great views. On a warm and sunny afternoon and running low on water, I got down to VT Route 12 and made a short detour to the On the Edge Farm Stand hoping it was still open. It wasn’t but the owner happened to be there watering flowers and graciously opened up the store. I quickly downed a Snapple Tea, a Gatorade and an ice cream sandwich. Just the fuel I needed to push on for two more miles to a small stream and nearby campsite.
New bird today: Hermit Thrush.
