AT Day 82: Zero Day in Duncannon PA

A relaxing zero day in Duncannon PA. The hardest thing I did was walk up a few flights of stairs to my room. I did manage to repair a gaping hole in the bottom of my Zpacks backpack. I’m blaming the tear on sharp PA rocks but it could have been the tumble I took a few days ago. In any case, I found some Tenacious Tape at Kind of Outdoorsy, the local outfitter/hostel. Seemed to do the trick.

I highly recommend the Pimento Burger at the Doyle Hotel that was easily lunch and dinner for me. While there, I had a chat with Shoes, a southbound section hiker, that after several years, is finishing his very last section of the AT. The hotel has a jazz guitarist tonight but I will miss the Dean Martin Tribute tomorrow. Not sure what that’s all about.
