CDT Day 107: Out of Wyoming & Into Idaho
Daily Miles: 27.5, Total Miles: 1,881.2
Overcast and showers this morning but at least warmer. Cleared up a bit as I headed out and enjoyed the stillness and reflections on Summit Lake.

Due west to the WY/ID border then a few miles later crossed over the Yellowstone Park boundary.

The Mack’s Inn alternative route is mostly forest service roads and made for a quick pace. I was three miles out from Mack’s Inn and got a text from my son congratulating me on my finish. He was crossing through Mack’s Inn soon on his way home from a job. I sent a text back that I was only a few miles out and almost there – perfect timing and what a coincidence! Mrs. Haze soon joined us and we met at the Mexican restaurant on Henry’s Fork.
Don’t think I’ve hiked 27.5 miles before 5pm before. Relatively flat terrain, a smooth trail/road and. of course, motivated to reunite with the incredible Mrs. Haze.
I’ll post some further thoughts on the trail soon and am looking forward to crossing Montana next summer and finishing the CDT. Thanks for following along!
