CDT Day 120: Lemhi Pass to Goldstone Pass
Daily Miles: 24.6, Total Miles: 2,107.3
We had been hearing rumors on the trail grapevine about a documentary being made about a group of CDT SOBO hikers. Well, we ran into and met the whole gang before reaching Lemhi Pass this morning. Looks to be a small film crew and, at this point, 9 or 10 hikers, although the core may be smaller. The title is something along the lines of “3 MPH Along the CDT”. Going to be hard to keep that large of a group together until the end!

Anyway, they looked to be having fun and we got a few pics. Needless to say, the film crew wasn’t interested in filming two old NOBOs – we asked.

We stocked up on water at a spring, last for 20 miles, inside the Sacajawea Memorial near Lemhi Pass. Lewis and Clark had traced origins of the Missouri River to this place and had gone over Lemhi Pass.

We climbed back on a high ridge and walked through a nice, shaded pine forest for several miles before breaking out and climbing up the talus covered spine of the Divide to almost 9,700 ft – great views in all directions.

Dropped down to Goldstone Pass for some much needed water at a spring and camped nearby.
I’m beat and my feet hurt – maybe a later start tomorrow.
