CDT Day 139: Zero Day in Lincoln
Daily Miles: 0, Total Miles: 2,445.4
I checked on fire closures while having a big breakfast at Bushwhackers and got bad news. The Alice Creek fire closure was posted last night and closes the CDT from Rogers Pass for about 23 miles north.

Navi, a fellow NOBO, walked down to the Forest Service Office and came back with a reroute plan. Looks to add a few miles but we can reconnect with the CDT hopefully by the end of the day.
I was contacted the Glacier NP backcountry office and got all the campsites I had requested in crossing the park. Of course, barring no fires or bear closures. I just have to stop at the Two Medicine Ranger Station, pick up my permit, and watch a video on bears and food storage.
I will officially enter grizzly country tomorrow for an 8-day haul through the Scapegoat and Bob Marshall Wilderness. My bear spray will move from the back of my pack to the front of my pack within easy reach.
I was able to connect online from the motel for my fantasy football league draft tonight. Time will tell, but I felt good about it despite the lack of preparation. Of course, my football team’s name is Purple Haze.
