CDT Day 155: Belly River to Chief Mtn & Finish
Daily Miles: 8.6, Total Miles: 2,723.6
Strong winds down the lake all night and probably the warmest night in Montana.
We were up early for the final push. After coffee, oatmeal and special donuts, we left Cosley Lake and reconnected to the CDT at Belly River ranger station.

A stroll along the Belly River Valley, then a short climb to Chief Mountain. On my last “Hey bear”, I got an answer from Mrs. Haze coming down the mountain.

A wonderful reunion and end of trail celebration including a walk across the border together, photos at the monument, and champagne and cinnamon rolls.

Mrs. Haze presented me with a T-shirt with the CDT emblem on the front and on the back, “Congratulations Purple Haze, You Smoked the CDT!”. She was brave enough to include the finish date of September 9, 2017. Thanks, sweetie!

Thanks Ryan, for joining me for the grand finale – you’re a natural thru-hiker! After a few days in East Glacier, Mrs. Haze and I are touring the Canadian Rockies. I’ll do a post later with a wrap-up and final thoughts. Thanks for following along – it’s been a blast!
