CDT Day 33: On to Ghost Ranch
Daily Miles: 7.7, Total Miles: 561.7
No rush this morning so splurged and had two cups of coffee before I even got out of my tent.

I left the Rio Chama and skirted around the scenic canyon walls of Mesa Montosa leading to highway 84.

Missed the trail on the other side of the highway and I headed cross-country in the direction of Ghost Ranch. Got stopped by a creek and headed downstream looking for a place to cross. Just as I was about to plunge in, I looked up and saw a swinging bridge.
Beautiful Ghost Ranch is an education and retreat center that is well known for Georgia O’Keefe staying and painting here. I lucked into a room as they had been full the night before.

Ran into the gang, Tragic, Trivia, Kevin and Threshold, and had a taco lunch and pork chop dinner at the Dining Hall.
Weather forecast calls for showers and thunderstorms between here and Chama for the next few days.
