CDT: Ready & Set
Less than a month to shoving off – hopefully some good snow melt in the meantime. I would rather not take microspikes and ice axe but probably will for the first couple of weeks.
I prepared my meals this week – extra heavy on spices this year, particularly curry and chili sauce. Don’t think I will regret it although others might if in close proximity. I’m sure I will be calorie deficient as always – but fun to try to catch up in trail town!

Mail drops set, broke down the map packs for resupply and waypoints loaded on GPS. Bounce bucket pretty well loaded up.
Training is going pretty well – lap swimming, weight conditioning, and bike rides a few times per week. Daily dog walks with Ellie and a hike in the nearby Catalinas or Rincons as often as I can. Mrs. Haze and I took one of our favorite loop hikes on Mt Lemmon this week, part of it on the Arizona Trail.
