CT Day 3: Lost Creek Wilderness
Daily Miles: 13.1, Total Miles: 49.2
Pretty steady rain for most of the night and awoke to overcast skies. My hiking clothes were sopping wet. I unfortunately hung them up outside in the off chance they would dry up a bit.

So I am hiking in my short shorts and sleeping shirt. The trail today looked like a river ran through it. I stopped five miles in at the Wellington Lake Road to try to dry out my gear. Somewhat better after 90 minutes. At this point, I wouldn’t have passed on an offer to take me to nearby Bailey, but traffic was sparse. While drying out, I did meet a couple from Vancouver Island, also hiking SOBO.

I started a real climb into the Lost Creek Wilderness with a light rain starting just after lunch. Kept on moving and got over 10,000 ft elevation with now a steady rain. Opted to call it quits at about 3pm to get the tent set up near North Fork Lost Creek.
Maybe too much information, but with all wet clothes, I am now buck naked under the quilt – warmed up eventually. Now late in the evening and the rain is not letting up.
