CT Day 7: Zero Day in Frisco

I do need and enjoy a rest after a 6-day haul! Nearby Starbucks for coffee, breakfast sandwich and a lot faster wireless than the motel. Then the Safeway across the street for snacks, future breakfast items and a sushi lunch.

CT joins the CDT

I tried to stay in a prone position for much of the afternoon and planned the next leg. I’m going to take the free shuttle bus to Copper Mountain tomorrow and slackpack back to Frisco. Reasons include a bit less elevation gain, and with 90% forecast for rain tomorrow, another dry night at the motel.

Despite the moisture, I’m pretty happy with the hike thus far. Wet Colorado is beautiful, the tread is good, the ankle and other body parts are fine, no blisters or chaffing, and I love the new quilt. I thought I may have a pinhole leak in my mattress but didn’t find anything.
