DWTH Day 32: Zero Day in Parker AZ

My new shoes came today! Thankfully, I had the opportunity to fix and replace a few things. I found and patched the pinhole leak in my air mattress. I had a successful trip to Walmart to replace my shredded, held up with a safety pin, hiking pants. Also got a new LS pullover to replace my hoodie that must have got pulled off my pack by a thorny bush or tree in the last section.

Even better, I got to watch the Super Bowl and FaceTime with family, also watching the game. Threw of my grandchildren and Mrs Haze took home the money in the family Super Bowl pool.

As luck would have it, I also got to meet up with fellow hiker, Buck-30, for two lunches as we intersected in Parker. He’s hiking the Mohave-Sonoran Route from north of Las Vegas to the Kofa Wildlife Refuge near Yuma AZ. We also got to share beta on the DWTH which Buck-30 has hiked twice, and his upcoming Sky Islands Traverse which I hiked a few years ago. Good luck Buck-30!
