DWTH Day 36: Mohave Trails National Monument
Daily Miles: 20.0, Total Miles: 555.3
With great views of the Old Woman, I first headed to another quail guzzler, for this one needing to extend my bottle attached to a hiking pole to reach the water.
I soon joined the Sunflower Springs dirt road for several miles in and out of rolling hills and washes, a good time to listen to an audio book. Heartwood, a relatively new book, is about a young woman lost on the Appalachian Trail. Hard to get lost on that trail but people do plus there were other circumstances. I might have shed a few tears at the end.

I guess I’m now in the Mohave Trails National Monument designated in 2016.

I found my next water cache near Sunflower Wash and camped nearby. Didn’t see a soul today.
New birds today: Gray Flycatcher and a Northern Mockingbird.
