DWTH Day 50: Connection to the PCT

After completing the DWTH and strolling into Yucca Valley, I had a rest and some good meals before hiking the connector piece to the PCT. As a movie theater was right next door to the hotel, I even saw a movie although my primary interest was heavily buttered popcorn. Weird and kind of spooky, I was the only person in the theater for the entire movie. I was confused by the ending of the movie so I may have fallen asleep near the finish.

I did two day-hikes with the help of Uber to complete my “low” connector to the PCT up along Mission Creek. Kind of cool and I remember Mission Creek well from my PCT hike 13 years ago.

Mrs Haze is coming to pick me up and we are heading to the nearby Indian Wells tennis tournament. I’ll be in the sun and wind for a few more days but at least I’ll be sitting down! I’m sure I’ll have some closing comments once I get home.
