GET Day 10: Brandenburg Ranger Station

The motel owner gave me a ride back to Aravaipa Road. She said I was the first GET hiker she has seen this year.

Walked past the Central Arizona College and up the road for two miles before turning northeast on a jeep track. I eventually exited into a dry wash that got narrower and narrower and wetter and wetter.

My progress was temporarily halted at a small box canyon. I managed to find a steep route to the top of the canyon, along the top, then back down through thick vegetation to the other side. Met up with another jeep track to a high ridge looking down on Aravaipa Road near Brandenburg Ranger Sation.

By the time I got to the ranger station, Mrs. Haze was waiting for me with cold drinks and lunch.

I now have some family obligations but will be back on the trail in a few weeks to finish this thing!
