MRT Day 19: General Crook & Bone Dry Tanks
Daily Miles: 25.0, Total Miles: 266.3
I filtered three liters of scummy water from the nearby wildlife guzzler this morning. Kind of a gamey taste so mixed in some Crystal Light.

I resumed my eastward journey on the General Crook Trail/road through forest and burn areas. I bypassed Yarrow Tank, known as a usually reliable water source, as I still had a few liters of water. In hindsight, I should have loaded up. The next 19 miles and five potential water sources, mostly stock tanks, were bone dry.

Thankfully I started rationing my last liter after lunch because I found Left-Hand Tank disappointingly empty late in the day. I reviewed my maps and found I could get to the small community of Pinedale via a nearby forest service road. I got about a mile down the road and set up camp. Just eating an energy bar and nursing my remaining water.
I saw another 20+ wild horses and a couple of mule deer today.
