MRT Day 4: Strolling into Sedona

The wind died down immediately after I got my tent set up last night. Then quiet and still except for a hooting owl. No ill effects from the lagoon water, at least so far.

All downhill from Brin Mesa to Sedona. Walked straight to Coffee Pot restaurant in West Sedona near my motel. Big pitchers of water and coffee without asking – my kind of place. I was first told I couldn’t check-in to the motel until noon, five minutes later I was told 2pm. Maybe I made the clerk nervous because I wasn’t going anywhere. Just calmly sitting on a bench right outside the office door. Nevertheless, the clerk checked with the owner and I was in a room by 10am. Made my day! Hiker chores resumed immediately and I caught up with family. Dinner later at a local pizza place – a very good vegetarian pizza.
