PCT Day 103: All the Way to Crater Lake NP

Daily Miles: 22.1, Total Miles: 1829.2

I knew that thunderstorms were in the forecast but not at 1:30am. I had to get up and put the rainfly on the tent. The headlamp must have attracted the ground wasps because a few followed me back into the tent. I got stung on the palm of my hand before swatted four more in the tent.

Not much better in the morning with a pretty steady drizzle off and on through the day. I had to use my rain jacket and pack cover for only the second time on this hike.

I finally entered Crater Lake NP, got to Highway 62 and went down to Mazama General Store. Commando was there and he had reserved a CG site and asked if I wanted to share. I gladly took him up on the offer and we later went to fried chicken dinner at the lodge.

Brent and Prophet joined us later at the campsite.
