PCT Day 108: More Three Sisters Wilderness
Daily Miles: 29.6, Total Miles: 1969.2
I got an early start because I was thinking of a side trip to Elk Lake Resort for a late lunch if I can get some early miles in. I passed a number of stagnant ponds and small lakes, most not having much of an outlet. Had to get water from some of the less cloudy ponds.

I had hiked nearly 20 miles by 2pm so headed down to Elk Lake off the Island Meadow Trail. Now starting to get good views of South Sister on the descent.

I was not disappointed with the blue cheese bacon burger, the ice cream cone or the IPA! Ran into Cleats and Side Project while there and had a nice chat.
Kind of tough heading back up the mountain on a full stomach. Curved over Koosah Mountain and down to Camelot Lake and Sisters Mirror Lake. South Sister, still with snow, came into full view.
I continued north on the west side of South Sister and found a nice campsite beyond Mesa Creek on the edge of a meadow.
