PCT Day 114: On to Mt Hood, Buffet Calling
Daily Miles: 35.0, Total Miles: 2103.7
Nearly the entire day was spent under a forest canopy. Although a bright, sunny day, I didn’t even put on my sunglasses.
Relatively flat, gentle terrain today heading north, crossing Warm Springs River and traversing around Timothy Lake. Just prior to the lake, I met trail angels who had set up a nice spread of snacks and fruit. Thanks Kelly, that was wonderful!
Took a side trip to Little Crater Lake, a large artesian spring with crystal clear, blue water.

Continued north and finally Mt Hood came into view.

Crossed Highway 26 and about five miles later reached Barlow Pass and crossed Highway 35. Finally after sunset, I found a flat spot for the tent only 1.5 miles to Mt Hood and Timberline Lodge. Breakfast buffet here I come!
Four months on the trail, less than a month left!
