PCT Day 137: More Glacier Peak Wilderness
Daily Miles: 21.5, Total Miles: 2544.5
More of the same today with stunning vistas of snow-capped peaks. Some with glaciers, deep canyons and ravines, wild churning creeks and the ever present green forests.
I hiked down to Kennedy Creek – the bridge had broken in two with the middle inches above the raging creek. Still passable but may not make it through another season.

I climbed up Kennedy Ridge and skirted around Glacier Peak to Fire Creek Pass. I enjoyed spectacular views of the North Cascades.

Switchbacked down to deep blue colored Mica Lake.

The descent continued for few thousand feet more and crossed a bridge over Milk Creek. I then switchbacked up the other side for 2,500 ft.
Contoured around some boulder fields and creeks and started the long descent to Suiattle River. I later joining Iceman and Cattywampus high above the roaring river.
Total elevation today was a respectable 6,200 ft. This didn’t help my right ankle which has been aching and stiff the last two days. Ibuprofen is easing the pain so far.
