PCT Day 29: Saufley’s Hiker Heaven

Daily Miles: 10.2, Total Miles: 454.4

I had a leisurely morning drying things out with only ten miles to go today. The KOA manager came out and served me coffee at my picnic table – quite the service for a $5 stay!

I then had a nice stroll through colorful Vazquez Rocks with cool rock formations – back in snake country too!

Got to Agua Dulce and had a big lunch with Will, Roadrunner and Brooke. I checked into the Saufley’s Hiker Heaven who are super trail angels with tents, cots, computers, shower and fast laundry service. Leave a big donation!

My re-supply box was here as well as new shoes – the old ones were pretty well shot. Got a 1/2 size larger because my feet have grown by flattening out or swelling up.

Pizza and salad in town tonight had an extra slice as the scale shows 16 pounds down.
