PCT Day 33: Aqueduct, Turbines & Tehachapi
Daily Miles: 31.3, Total Miles: 558.0
I woke up on my concrete platform this morning about 3am and I could see several constellations without my glasses and I’m nearly blind without them. I did put them on and enjoyed the show.
Early day because I’m expecting a lot of sun on a long trek. I continued following the aqueduct and loaded up with water at a water cache where the PCT departs the aqueduct.

I headed into the Tehachapi Mountains by first walking through a large wind turbine farm interspersed with Johsua trees.

Eventually reached 6,200 ft elevation and started the long descent down the mountain to another wind farm until reaching the Tehachapi-Willow Springs Road.

I found a flyer for a ride into Tehachapi and called Kona Ken. Looking forward to talking to my son and family who just experienced tornados touching down near them in Oklahoma. Fortunately everyone is OK.
First 30+ mile day on the PCT – tired and want to get out of the sun and wind. I need a good rest before the push to the Sierras.
