SKIT Day 9: Into Patagonia

More up and down today than I remembered in the hills coming down to Harshaw Road. Then a few more road miles coming into Patagonia. I had a nice chat with an Aussie AZT hiker. He was surprised to meet a hiker that had lived in Australia three different times and locations including his hometown of Perth.

I saw a family of javelina on the way to town. First stop was the post office for my resupply box and then checked into the motel. I was happy to find a gas canister at the Patagonia Market and moved on to Tiny Bubbles, a very small laundromat.

Had a nice lunch at the Gathering Grounds, and later, a burger at the Wagon Wheel.

Patagonia has grown a bit since the last time I was here. An “open air” beer and wine place opened a few weeks ago, with a nice beer selection. A cannabis shop just opened a few days ago. Signs of progress?
